Begin by dedicating yourself and all that you are
and have been to the service of the world, to the
service of your brothers and sisters everywhere.
Make sure that not one day passes without some
act of true service and be assured that My help
will be yours. This, the Path of Service, is the
only path for true man, for it is the path
which leads them to God.

Transmission: a Meditation for the New Age

"There is no greater aspiration than the desire to serve."

- Maitreya

An overview

In response to the impulse of their souls, many people today are looking for a way to serve.  One of the most potent forms of service - one which can be easily performed and which produces tremendous results for the planet and for the people taking part - is Transmission Meditation.

The work of Transmission Meditation groups helps Maitreya, the World Teacher and the Masters of Wisdom to ‘step down' colossal cosmic and planetary spiritual energies to a level where they can be safely and readily absorbed and used by humanity.

The Masters send spiritual energies through the chakras (energy centres) of the individuals in the group.  This automatically transforms the energies.  The Masters then send these energies into the world wherever they are needed.  In response to the stimulus of these energies positive changes gradually take place in the world.

For instance, these energies might be sent to inspire millions of people around the world to open their hearts and minds to the needs of others; or to inspire national leaders to work together, to compromise, to reach consensus; or to minimise suffering brought about by wars and natural disasters; or to inspire greater care for the environment; or to simply top up the reservoir of spiritual energies of our planet.

Safe, scientific, non-denominational activity, it is open to almost everyone above the age of twelve.  The technique involved is very simple and no previous meditation experience is necessary to participate.

Effect of Transmission Meditation on the Individual

After about six months of working in a Transmission Meditation group, most people find themselves to be subtly but quite definitely transformed inwardly and psychologically.

Transmission Meditation is a synthesis of two yogas: Karma-yoga, the yoga of service, and Laya-yoga, the yoga of energies.  It combines precisely these two most potent forms of evolution. Nothing moves a man or woman so quickly along the path of evolution than being engaged powerfully, potently, in some form of service.  That is Karma-yoga.  It is the lever of the evolutionary process.

The other equally important leverage is meditation.  Meditation brings one into contact with one's soul and eventually into contact with the Kingdom of Souls.  The combination of these two, service and meditation, is the most potent method of pushing one along the path of evolution, taking one on to the path of discipleship, to the path of initiation and eventually to Mastery.

What happens in Transmission Meditation

Transmission Meditation is a group meditation.  Meditation begins with the group sounding aloud together, and with focused intent, the Great Invocation - an invocatory mantram given to the world for the purpose of invoking spiritual energies.  While saying the Great Invocation, and throughout the ensuing meditation, the attention is held at the centre between the eyebrows (ajna chakra).  This creates a telepathic link between the group and the Masters of Wisdom and it is along the ‘conduit' thus set up that the energies are sent.

How to start

There are hundreds of Transmission Meditation groups around the world meeting on a regular basis. You may join an existing local group in your area or form your own group by simply inviting a few interested friends to meet with you at least once a week. All you need is the intention to do so and the desire to serve. There is never any fee to participate. A group may begin with as few as three people. Once a routine is established it often becomes a special and important point of focus in each individual's life.

For information about the group closest to you, send your name, complete mailing address, and a telephone number to: Transmission Meditation enquiries. This information is collected only for this purpose and will not be given out or used in any other way.

Note:  If there is no existing group in an area, new inquirers are referred to previous inquirers from that area in the hope that, eventually, someone will take the initiative and a new group will be formed. For such referrals, only your first name and a telephone number are given.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men -
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power
restore the Plan on Earth.
